Q:Will Toddlerbusters provide safety assessments in regional areas?
A: Yes. Because we believe that everyone should have access to child proofing for their home, Toddlerbusters will also travel to regional areas including Ballarat, Bendigo, Warrnambool and anywhere in between: Castlemaine, Golden Point, Daylesford, Maldon, Creswick, Kangaroo Flat, Maryborough, Bacchus Marsh and Colac.

Q: Is there a product installation service at Toddlerbusters?
A: You may wish to install our recommended Dreambaby products yourself or we can take the stress out of it and install products for you. We install them to the manufacturers specifications which means a professional and safe job. 

Q:Should I look at baby proofing before I have my baby?
A: Yes. You need to have many things including: 

  • a fire prevention plan in place, serviced smoke detectors, fire extinguishers
  • a first aid kit for babies, emergency phone numbers
  • lead paint removal
  • non-slip rugs
  • hot water no higher than 49°C, slip resistant baby bathtub
  • safety specified cot, no pillows, firm fitting mattress
  • changing table with a safety strap
  • a safety standard car seat professionally fitted
     

Q: What do I need to look at before my baby is crawling?
A: A detailed safety assessment would be needed yet things to look out for are:

  • fill the bath just enough to cover the baby's legs, never leave baby unattended, don't use hot water.
  • don't carry hot drinks and keep them out of baby's reach.
  • turn pan handles in from the stove, have an oven guard.
  • hide electrical cords, put safety plugs in sockets, keep appliances out of reach.
  • don't leave baby alone on beds or sofas, in a high chair or changing table.
  • keep curtain and blind cords out of reach
  • attatch corner guards to furniture
  • keep cleaners and chemicals out of reach
  • have no water in buckets
  • insert a toilet seat lock
  • get rid of poisonous house plants
  • use age appropriate toys
  • don't leave baby unattended near water.
